Therapy Process
You can contact me through email bibi@bcostherapy.com to book a free 15-minute consultation. I will respond to you within two business days.
During the consultation, we will talk about what is bringing you into counselling, what your hopes are for therapy, fees, and any questions you might have. The consultation will help you get a feel for who I am and whether you’re comfortable starting therapy with me.
After asking your questions over the phone, you can decide whether you’d like to book an appointment or take some time to think about it. There is absolutely no obligation to book with me following the consultation.
When you book your first appointment, you will receive an email with a link to our online video platform as well as a link to an intake form and Terms of Service. Kindly fill out the forms 24 hours prior to our first appointment. We will go over the forms together in our first session. The first and subsequent appointments will be charged at my standard rate.
During the first session, the first 20 minutes will be spent on going over the informed consent and terms of service. The next 30 minutes will be spent on talking about what is bringing you into counselling and what you would like to accomplish through therapy (i.e. your therapeutic goals). At session end, I will ask you if you’d like to book a subsequent session. Following our session, I will email you your invoice. Payments can be made via e-transfer to bibi@bcostherapy.com or using a credit card through the Owl Practice client portal (https://oab.owlpractice.ca/
Length and frequency of therapy varies widely and is dependent upon your goals and needs. You will show up for your next session or give a 24 hour notice to reschedule/cancel your session. We will continue to work towards your goals until you decide to terminate or I perceive we have accomplished your goals. You have complete freedom to discontinue services at any time.
In our last session, we will process your experience with therapy and your journey of growth and healing. We will discuss relevant community resources and what your future steps might look like.
